700 social rental homes of the Eindhoven corporation Woonbedrijf will receive solar panels this year.
At the start of this year, solar panels were installed in nearly 400 homes in the neighbourhoods of Buurtenbest in Best and d’Ekker in Veldhoven. In the coming period, houses in the Eindhoven districts of Geestenberg, Vlinderbuurt and a few streets in Blaarthem/Genderdal and Veluwelaan will be next. A number of streets in De Achtse Barrier and Woenselse Heide will also follow.
In the meantime, more than a thousand residents of existing homes of Woonbedrijf in Eindhoven have opted for solar panels. Around 9,500 panels have been installed there.
Woonbedrijf has made agreements with the other corporations in Eindhoven and the municipality to make the housing stock more energy efficient and sustainable.
