The city council expects cleanup efforts to take weeks following Tuesday’s heavy storm.

There have been around 1600 damage reports since Tuesday night. A special emergency team has been set up to carry out repairs in order of priority, with dangerous situations first on the list.

An estimated 800 trees were affected, as well as lampposts, street furniture, and paving.

Municipal authorities recommend using the BuitenBeterApp to report any damage.
