Nine people were injured in a serious accident Thursday evening on Eindhoven’s ring road.
Several cars were involved in the accident, which happened on the corner of Marconilaan and Anthony van Leeuwenhoeklaan. A car reportedly drove into the oncoming lane due to unknown causes, where it collided with a truck, a second car and a lamppost.
Police and firefighters responded, and at least five ambulances and a trauma helicopter were at the scene. Those with injuries were taken to hospital. Their conditions are currently unknown.
The intersection was closed in both directions after the accident.
