Job-seeker trained at Eindhoven Airport via new study

Next year there will be a training for job-seekers who will eventually work at Eindhoven Airport.

From February 1, 2019, the study that combines learning and working begins. Students receive a minimum of 24 hours of paid work per week for a year. They gain experience in catering, cleaning, but they also work in the baggage hall and on the airport platform.

Lowering threshold
The new Airport employee training was created for people who have had trouble finding a suitable job for some time. That is why a short training that is mainly practical in nature was opted. The threshold for a job at the airport is thus reduced.

Job guartantee
The training is at the level of MBO Facilitair Medewerker level 2 (facility management employee). The airport guarantees a job if students function well and successfully complete the training. Together with CSU, Vermaat Eindhoven Airport, Viggo Eindhoven Airport, Summa College and 04Werkt the airport starts the training under the heading ‘Airportaal’.
