Glow, Eindhoven’s annual light-event, drew crowds on its opening-night. This despite the bad weather.
Especially the light show in the Philips Stadium and the projection on the Light Tower attracted a large crowd. Many visitors had prepared for the bad weather. Many were using umbrellas or rain-ponchos.
GLOW will continue till next Saturday. Thirty-two light-installations are displayed along a route through Eindhoven’s city centre. The walk past all installations is about five kilometres long.
Various access roads to Eindhoven’s city centre are closed from six o’clock in the evening. Saturday evening, when Glow started, traffic regulators were kept busy steering the large crowd in the right direction despite heavy rain.
