‘t Slingertouw primary school in Meerhoven runs a ‘Teachers & Spouses project’. Here, volunteers help teachers improve their English grammar skills and give them more confidence in speaking in English.
This, of course, benefits the pupils at this school as well. At ‘t Slingertouw, children from the age of four are taught English. This Teachers & Spouses project has proved to be a massive success over the last three years. The school now, again, needs English speaking volunteers for the project to continue.
Are you are a native or C2-certified English speaker? Are you looking for an opportunity to meet new people and build a network? Then, ‘t Slingertouw is looking for you. You will be matched to a teacher and plan your meetings for times that suit the both of you. This project is also a great way to integrate into Dutch society.
