Paratroopers practice in Eindhoven for Market Garden commemoration

The paratroopers who will jump from different planes on Saturday, September 22 to commemorate Operation Market Garden, practice their jumps from Eindhoven Air Base.

From Wednesday, the paratroopers perform jumps during three flights a day. The exercise is led by the 336 squadron of Eindhoven Air Base.

Market Garden
Operation Market Garden ensured in 1944 that a large part of the Netherlands was liberated. During the operation 2000 paratroopers landed at the Ginkelse Heide near Ede. That is also the place where the paratroopers will land during the commemoration.
