Local school building being demolished

The Grafisch Lyceum (Lyceum school of Graphics) is almost completely torn down.

The building on Karel de Grotelaan is carefully being taken apart. Many of the materials are being reused. For example, the concrete is being processed into gravel for new concrete.

The aim is that, eventually, a new building will be constructed on the former Grafisch Lyceum’s site. The building will be completely demolished by the end of this year. Years ago, there were still plans to make the building suitable for housing Eastern European migrant workers. Those plans were cancelled.
