Is it the weather, or the concept? Sunday, it was busy again at at the Happy Sunday Fest. The event was held at the Philips De Jonghpark.
“This location makes this festival unique,” says Davy Versfeld of the organization with pride. Two weekends a year, events can be organized in the iconic park in Eindhoven. Saturday, TechHouse partied in the ‘Hidden Garden’. Sunday, it was time for the free festival Happy Sunday Fest.
A Day Out
Many families love to cycle to the Bezuidenhoutseweg, where a stage, some bars and a number of food trucks ensure a relaxed and happy atmosphere. Tribute bands, including from the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Amy Winehouse, ensure enjoyable performances. The audience is not over-excited, but most visitors are clearly enjoying themselves.
“If you look around, you will notice people bring along their own chairs and picnic blankets. They treat this event as a nice day out,” says Versfeld.
