The number of people who use the food bank in Eindhoven increased again last year.
Although the increase was not as large as the year before, it is still 3.2 percent. The food bank finds this remarkable, considering the economic growth in the Netherlands. An explanation for the growth may lie in the fact that the requirements that clients have to meet, to be eligible for a food package, have been broadened.
At the end of 2017, almost 900 people depended on a weekly food package. In 2017 EUR 625,000 was handed out for food.
