Geldrop’s Weverij (weaving) Museum will open its door to visitors again on Wednesday.
On the second of May, the museum reopens after an extensive renovation which took over 3 months to complete. New features include an audio-visual tour which visitors can take. The museum will also be open each Sunday, from now on.
The museum closed on the 22nd of January for this renovation project.
Display cases full of museum material were temporarily exhibited in a corridor between Hofdael and the Weverij Museum. Unfortunately, two looms will no longer be on display. The looms were technically too worn by use to exhibit them again.
The official reopening of the museum will be celebrated after work on its water wheel is completed.
