Dutch Happiness Week starts today. Lectures, performances and other activities on the theme of happiness take place during this week.
Parktheater and Fontys Hogescholen want to share knowledge and awareness with people on the theme of happiness. In recent years, the event took place solely in Eindhoven. Now, for the first time, activities will also take place in Tilburg.
Today, Belgian ambassador for happiness and writer of the World Book of Happiness kicks off the happiness-week at the Concertzaal in Tilburg. Leo Bormans will give a lecture entitled ‘The Secret of Happiness’.
Tuesday will be the third edition of the ‘Happy People – Better Business’ Congress. The biggest event on job satisfaction in the Netherlands will take place at the Parktheater in Eindhoven this year.
Thursday, Chief Public Energy Commissioner Ruud Koornstra is guest of honour at the ‘Think Bigger Debate’ at Fontys. He will engage with students. Koornstra travels through the Netherlands to create enthusiasm among companies, governments and residents for a transition to sustainable energy.
Saturday an ‘electricity-less’ (music) evening takes place in PopEi, organized by the World Wildlife Fund-regional team of Brabant Zuidoost. This is part of the annual Earth Hour initiative, in which WWF draws attention to energy consumption by dimming the light for an hour. This should make people more aware of their energy consumption.
