On Wednesday night, a petrol thief was arrested in Nuenen. The man was caught in the act by two vigilant local residents when he attempted to steal petrol from a parked car.
The local residents saw the suspect doing something suspicious near a car on Heikampen. They called the police, and pursued the thief themselves. In this way they were able to tell the police where the suspect was located.
In the end, the thief was apprehended on Vroente in Nuenen. The police are investigating whether the suspect has been involved in prior petrol thefts.
