Air Force training at Eindhoven Air Base

Royal Air Force crew will carry out training in combat fighter planes during the winter months. Tankers will also be flown from Eindhoven Air Base to refuel F16s in the air.

Training will be carried out after dark, as real deployment often takes place at night. Practicing in these conditions prepares the crew for missions around the world.

The exercises also help pilots get used to night-vision goggles, which can impair vision. While a lot of training is done in simulators, real-life training remains important.

Despite efforts to mitigate the effect, local residents may experience some noise pollution during military training. Noise complaints can be submitted online at luchtmacht.nl/geluidshinder.
