Bars in Eindhoven are only allowed to have one buitenfeestje (outdoor party) with loud music per year. They used to be able to have five per year. This was announced by the Eindhoven City Council today.
The municipality took this decision after questions from council members and complaints from residents. This was the solution after an investigation was done into how the parties could be made less disruptive.
Not only may the cafés only have parties on their own outside areas, but these events must stop at midnight. The noise level may also not reach above 70 decibels.
The regulations do not apply to Strijp-S and Stratumseind. There are other rules for these areas.
