The general student association SSRE will remain in the Bunker for the time being.
The renovation of their future property at the Vestdijk has been significantly delayed. That reports Cursor, the news site of the TU/e.
SSRE bought the monument status villa in 2015. The spokesman of the association does not want tell much about the delay due to ongoing negotiations with various stakeholders. The final approval for the plans has been postponed by the TU/e. Problems would have emerged.
Yesterday, SSRE and Dienst Huisvesting (Real Estate Management) had a meeting to ‘put things on the right track, especially financially’. SSRE hopes to have a construction plan in a month.
The association may still organize the Intro from the Bunker, but by 1 October the students must have finally left.
