From this year on Foundation Eindhoven Culture will be awarding cultural prizes. Through this the organization wants to turn cultural initiatives into eyecatchers and gaining more attention for it in the city.
The cultural prizes are divided into two categories, an incentive prize and a valuation prize. The first category is dealing with cultural projects that have been existing for five years. The second category involves people or projects in the field of culture that really have meant something for the city.
Through the site of Foundation Eindhoven Culture anyone can registrate cultural institutions, initiatives or people who are important for the sector. The jury then selects five contenders in each category.
The winners of the jury prize get € 7500,- that they can spend for their continuation of cultural initiatives or use for other cultural purposes.
It is the intention that the cultural prizes become a tradition.
