A motorist was injured on Thursday evening in Dirk Bouts Laan in Stratum, when a large tree, apparently blown over in the violent storm, fell on her car.
The incident happened just before 18:30. The woman sustained unknown injuries and was taken by ambulance to hospital.
The fire brigade was called, but the tree was eventually cut down and removed by the Eindhoven Municipality. Dirk Bouts Laan was closed in both directions for some time by the police.
