Tension in the workplace at the Primark in Eindhoven. The survey of labor union FNV shows that most complaints in the Netherlands come from the Eindhoven branch of the fashion chain.
In response to complaints about working conditions at the Primark, FNV held an online survey. With 210 responses, nearly a fifth of the total, Eindhoven tops the list in the research.
Employees say they experience high pressure and that they are watched by the security cameras. In addition, vacation requests are difficult and pressure would be exerted on staff who calls in sick. There also lacks a works council within the Primark. This is required by law.
FNV is shocked by the results of the survey and wants to talk with the fashion chain as soon as possible. Primark itself announces they are affected and shocked and want to talk with the union. The fashion chain is also working to set up a works council.
