Chipmachine manufacturer ASML has had a record year in accounting once again. The Veldhoven concern recorded a turnover of a small 6.8 billion euro in 2016, and that is far over half a billion more than a year earlier.
The growth is due to the increasing demand for chips. These are being used for machines that are connected with internet or with machines that have a GPS connection. More and more cars are going to drive with smart chips. ASML also produces the machines for these chips. Customers from the Veldhoven company are among others Samsung and Intel.
ASML has high hopes for the new EUV machine. That machine is fully being developed, and the concern is hopeful to book huge converts within shortly when these very precious machines are being sold.
