Fourth edition of pitch podium Bliksem & Donderdag (lightning and thunder) is taking place on Thursday, October 6 at De Kazerne in Eindhoven.
From 19:30 onwards the sparks will set the flames during this enlightening event.
Inspiration, interaction, connectivity and acceleration: that is what it is about on Bliksem & Donderdag. At the stage makers, thinkers, doers and dreamers will get a chance to share, test and accelerate their ideas.
VPRO Medialab took the initiative and invited TU/e Baltan Laboratories, High Tech Campus, Van Abbemuseum and De Kazerne to work together on this new platform.
Thursday, 6 October the 4th edition will take place. You can sign up to pitch or respond as audience.
From luncheon session (boterhamsessie) to a pitch stage
The idea is based on the ‘boterhamsessies’ (sandwich) sessions in Philips Natlab in the 60s, where scientists, artists, students and entrepreneurs from different disciplines got together and were sparring informally on innovation, products and ideas.
Discovering, inventing and innovating is in the DNA of Eindhoven. Designers, artists, IT specialists, labs and students are working daily on new products, concepts and ideas. VPRO Medialab believes the sharing of these plans allows for better planning. During Bliksem & Donderdag eight pitchers present the dilemmas they encounter in the development process. Two experts will respond to every pitch. Then it is up to the public. They can give advice, tips for interesting connections and share personal experiences to help the pitchers.
