A car that was parked on the Vuurvlinderstraat in Eindhoven, was utterly destroyed by fire, on Monday night. The fire department was notified of the fire around 03:30 hrs., last night.
The burnt down car was a black Volkswagen Golf. The firefighters, at the scene, fought the fire, initially, with compressed air foam and then with water. Unfortunately, they could not prevent the car from completely burning down. The reason for the fire is yet unclear.
During the last few weeks, a number of cars caught fire in the Tongelre area. Most recently, on 20 July, 2016, two cars went up in flames, on the Jan van Riebeecklaan.
