Steven Kruiswijk from Nuenen is the frontman of cycling team Lotto-Jumbo in the Tour of Italy. He has to cycle in the top 10, the team said on its website.
The whole team is tuned in to Kruiswijk, who must fix a place at the top with his attacking style. "My strongest asset is the last week and that’s where you can also book the most profit. I’m going to focus on my competitors the first two weeks and am going to knock them down the last week."
In 2015 Kruiswijk was seventh in the Giro. The race starts in the Netherlands this year. After opening in Apeldoorn this Friday there are also rides in the east of the country on Saturday and Sunday.
