The man who was shot last by a police officer last Saturday at the Wassenaarstraat, Rupert L., remains in an artificial coma, this has been reported by Omroep Brabant. He resides at the intensive care of the Catharina Ziekenhuis.
L. was hit by two bullets and has lost a lot of blood. One bullet has hit the liver, while an other is stuck in his trachea and can not be removed surgically.
The relatives of Rupert L. have announced they will take reprisal against the police force.
The criminal investigation department is currently investigating this case. This is customary in case of a police shooting.
