Eindhoven resident Costas Georgiou did not grab the main prize at the IKEA Food Challenge held recently. He presented his tortilla dish in the final, but was not chosen as the overall winner. The winning dish will find a place this year on the menu of the IKEA restaurants in the Netherlands.
The first prize was awarded to Anne de Graaf, who won with her ‘farmer couscous with vegetables balls’ dish. The thrilling finale was held yesterday at IKEA in Eindhoven.
There were 750 chefs who participated in the challenge. There were four finalists who were adjudged by a special jury. Besides a place on the menu, the winner will also receive a kitchen worth 6500 euros from IKEA.
