Twenty passengers, travelling from Sterksel to Eindhoven, had to change buses this morning because their bus leaked refrigerant.
The leaking liquid caused a lot of smoke, Omroep Brabant reported. The bus driver had also noticed and parked the bus by the side of the road. An oncoming car had immediately called the emergency number to report a possible bus fire.
The emergency services were called in, but their help was not necessary in the end.
The passengers could transfer to another bus and were able to continue their journey to Eindhoven.
