Arjen de Koning and Ruud Huijbregts both received a Silver Tulip last night. These prizes are awarded annually by the Press Club Eindhoven, to citizens from Eindhoven who, one way or another, have put a positive spotlight on the city.
Arjen de Koning is the owner of Paradigit, and he received the Tulip because he sparked new life in Van Piere bookstore after Polare went bankrupt.
Ruud Huijbregts received the Tulip for his musical contribution to the city, he is the town organist, he plays in the Catharina church.
The Silver Tulips were handed out last night in the Pullman hotel.
