The Angklung Eindhoven Association provides for the fourth time its annual concert. This will happens on May 30 at the Frits Philips Muziekgebouw.
The speciality of this concert is that the music is made on the Indonesian ‘angklung’ instrument.
The concert carries the theme "Folk Songs of the World". All types of music will be performed, ranging from classical and opera to traditional Indonesian music.
The instrument, consisting of one or more bamboo tubes, is still relatively unknown in the Netherlands. The 25 members of Association Angklung Eindhoven would like to change that.
