The musical Carmen by Theaterplan opens at the Parktheater tonight. Carmen tells the heart wrenching story of Don José, who is torn between two worlds: his love for Carmen and his duties as a soldier.
The cast have been busy rehearsing this classic musical for the past year. Theaterplan is considered to be a breeding ground for musical talent; for instance musical stars Freek Bartels and Cindy Bell started their careers here.
The next few days up-and-coming young talents can be admired in the Parktheater and, in a few years’ time, they might steal the show in big Joop van den Ende productions, such as Warhorse or Sister Act.
