The Dutch are proud of Philips, according to a survey by a broadcast programme, ‘EenVandaag’.
The news programme with 24,000 members has asked the panel about their ‘sense of pride’ of companies in the Netherlands.
Most respondents recognise Philips for its innovative strength. It started as incandescent company in Eindhoven, and now known worldwide for its medical equipment, lighting and consumer electronics innovations.
Following Philips is ASML and then trailed by Shell.
Respondents of the panel see innovation, export and knowledge as the strength of the Dutch economy.
