The refurbished emergency department of the St. Anna Hospital has been opened. This department was renovated in the past few months.
The renovation is part of a larger reconstruction plan, including the future renovation of the emergency unit of the central General Practice Centre. In cooperation with general practitioners, the St. Anna Hospital wants to focus on developments to improve emergency care. The GPs’ ideas will be taken into account in the renovation plans. An important principle is: facilitating a close cooperation between GPs and hospital regarding acute care.
The emergency unit of the central General Practice Centre will be renovated during the next few months. It will be temporarily housed on the grounds of the St. Anna Hospital until February 2015.
