XTC lab in Leende shed shut down, one arrest

A substantial drug lab was discovered in a shed in Leende yesterday morning, where XTC was being made. The resident of the building to which the shed belongs, has been arrested.

The police already had their suspicions that something was not quite right at the home on the Voordenweg and went to take a closer look. That is when they discovered the drug lab.

The laboratory is currently being investigated by the LFO team, Landelijke Faciliteit Ontmantelen (or National Dismantling Facility), and will be destroyed thereafter. This must be done very carefully, due to the possible risks to safety and the environment. In addition, clues are also being collected.

The man will be detained for further questioning over the coming time.
