The former school building located at Byrdstraat in Woensel-Zuid might be turned into student accommodation with room for 20 to 40 student apartments.
The plans still need to be approved by the City Council on Tuesday evening. Currently, the student accommodation does not fit into the urban management plan.
However, the City Council says that the arrival of students in this neighbourhood should not encounter any planning, financial or social problems. Therefore, a planning permission can be issued.
Project developers of this plan are the Sanders family and Rentmeester Beheer B.V.
