The Eindhoven University of Technology TU/e end of academic year party on Friday 4 July will be an Eindhoven citywide student party.
Fontys, the Design Academy and Summa College students are cordially invited to join in the fun. The party will start with the Academic Year Prizes awards ceremony on Friday at 4PM. Awards will be presented to the best graduate, best designer, and best PhD candidate at TU/e.
The main act ‘Professors on Stage’ will kick off at 6PM. Professors, lecturers and teachers, from TU/e and Fontys will be entertaining the party crowd. Among those who will share their musical preferences are TU/e Rector Hans van Duijn, and Nienke Meijer, chairwoman of the Executive Board at Fontys.
The end of year party includes other educational institutes this year. "We wanted to do so in 2013, but that didn’t really work out," said Mark van Esdonk, chairman of the Eindhoven Student Corps ESC committee that has organized the party "We’d like to involve our foreign students more this year as well."
This year’s theme is Australia, and the stage is modelled after the well-known Sydney Opera House.
After the celebration, the party will continue at Eindhoven Students Corps ESC in the city centre.
