From the end of this month 22 new digital speed cameras will be placed in the Eindhoven region. They will be on 24 hours a day, and when someone is caught, the picture will be transmitted directly to the police.
There is no longer ‘real flashing’ though, as these cameras use infrared which causes motorists will less discomfort.
In Eindhoven, the new poles will be placed in different locations, amongst other places also along the ring: on two spots next to the Antony Fokkerweg and the Boschdijk. Geldrop and Nuenen will also get a number of new poles.
The new digital speed cameras are part of a national project to replace speed cameras.
