The police arrested a man with a stolen phone this weekend. The phone was found thanks to a special tracking app.
The phone of a 39-year-old woman had been stolen a short time before. Police officers used the app to discover the phone should be at the Keizersgracht.
When they arrived at the Keizersgracht a man biked away, but the police caught up on him quickly. The officers rang the phone and could hear it ring in the suspect’s pocket, where two more phones were found. The man is in custody, because he is still under investigation.
