Construction of new energy lab at TU/e has started

Yesterday, at the TU/e campus, the building of the new FOM institute called Differ (Dutch Institute for Fundamental Energy Research) has started.

Scientists and technicians from both TU/e and Differ are going to do research in order to develop tomorrow’s energy. Differ is currently located in Nieuwegein. The prestigious institute’s arrival to the university campus is a great asset to Eindhoven.

The new building is going to be the most sustainable of its kind. The eastern and western façades are the most visible aspects; a special profile renders sun blinds redundant. Another measure is the use of triple-glazed insulating glass.

The building should be completed in 2015.
