Jail for shooting at ambulance staff

Yesterday the Court in Den Bosch sentenced a 44-year-old resident to ten months in jail, three of which are conditional.

On February 28, the man from Eindhoven shot at police officers and ambulance staff with a nail gun from a chalet on a campsite in Heeze.

The ambulance workers were at the chalet because the man had threatened to commit suicide.

According to the judge, there was no question of manslaughter because shooting with a nail gun cannot cause fatal injuries outside of a five foot range.
