Drilling work started on Tuesday at Vredesplein for heating and cooling sources. They are being set up to service a whole new housing estate being built by housing corporation Thuis.
The heating and cooling sources will supply 400 houses and apartments with heating. The first phase will take some time. It consists of 53 low cost rental units and 18 owned houses. The whole plan, including an office building, should be completed by 2019.
