On Monday afternoon police held a 48-year-old resident at the Hondsruglaan for abuse of a townsman.
Shortly before that a message was received about a wounded man who rung at the door of different houses in Woensel-North.The 76-year-old victim from Eindhoven would have been beaten in the street with a piece of iron because of an argument.Moments later, alerted officers saw a walking man who met the police description. In his pocket was an iron bar. The suspect was taken to the police office for further investigation.The victim was brought to the hospital with an ambulance. He had to be treated for various head injuries and had to stay the night for observation.
