Today, a Bangladesh-style bus will be parked at the Stationsplein. It is an initiative of humanitarian organisations Cordaid Mensen in Nood and Max Foundation.
A metal structure will be added to the bus, with a roof made of colourful umbrellas. At large picnic tables, special umbrellas will be painted with the #Waterdruppels (water drops) symbol. Their goal is to get media attention for the cooperation project #Waterdruppels and for the current situation in Bangladesh. Monsoon season is starting in Bangladesh, which always causes many problems. Parts of the country will be flooded again.
