Technical agreement: 300 million for technology

The government, employers and local governments will jointly invest 300 million Euros in engineering education. This is included in the technical agreement that was drawn up yesterday.

This is precisely what the ‘Brainport’ region has long been hoping for to create an injection of enthusiasm for engineering education. Despite the economical crisis, there is already a shortage of technically educated personnel. The technical Pact affirms that the State, the local regions and businesses will each contribute one hundred million. Companies do this for example by sending guest speakers to colleges. A special investment fund for technological education will also be created. This is one of the 22 mandates included in the Pact.
