The twenty nominees for the Brains Award have been announced. They are students from the TU/e, The Design Academy, Fontys and Summa College.
The students have come up with different technical inventions. For example the students from Fontys have invented a reusable syringe for drawing blood. The Summa College students have developed a ‘Meereis-App’ (travel together-App), so that students whom do not have an OV discount card can pair up with those who do and travel together at a discount. A prize totalling 20,000 euros will be distributed to the winners of the Brains Award. On 6 June, the winners will be announced at the Park Theatre. Studio 040 will cover the ceremony live on television.
