Asia Week in Eindhoven

Last weekend Asia Week started In Eindhoven.
This week was created because in the Eindhoven region a growing group of knowledge workers from Asia are working in the technology industry.

The initiative arose out of collaboration between the municipality, the University and Fontys College: ‘Eindhoven Studentenstad’ (Eindhoven student city). In the region, there are around 15,000 to 20,000 expats from India, Indonesia, Korea, China and Viet Nam among others. The Asia Week should strengthen the bond between the expatriates and the inhabitants of the region. The Asian communities take care of much of the content of the program themselves. There is an Indian festival of colours on Thursday, a day later there is a cricket match. The opening of the Asia Week was on Sunday. The brand new Ambassador of China, Chen Xu is in Eindhoven too. It is for the first time since 2006 that a Chinese Ambassador visits the city. For more info check: http://asiaweek.nl/
