The program of the Folkwoods’ fundraiser has been released: the TAC –the Temporary Art Center in Eindhoven- will host groups including Bots, Kalio Gayo and La Jolie Folie on Easter Sunday.
The Folkwood Festival is organized at the Philips de Jong Park in Eindhoven every summer. However, due to the recession, the organization did not manage to gather enough fundings for last year’s and this year’s edition. The ‘Stichting Bijzondere Folkprojecten’ (Special Folk Projects Foundation) is now organizing a benefit concert in order to help the festival’s organization. All the artists volunteered to support the cause on Sunday; the benefits should ensure the festival to take place again next year.Four stages will host the musical programme: ‘de Tuinzaal’ (the garden room), ‘Luisterpodium’ (the listening stage), ‘Danszaal’ (the dance room) and the ‘Nieuwe Talenten Podium’ (the new talents’ stage). The programme also offers an auction and several workshops to the visitors.
