EINDHOVEN – For the second time in a row, Stefan Veroude, from Netersel, was crowned best Santa in the world. Sunday night, he won the famous Santa Winter Games in Gällivare, Lapland. “I even took singing lessons so that I could sing the Christmas Songs in Swedish.”
Last year, Veroude was also the best Santa Claus in the world. But past performance is no guarantee for future results! Veroude really had to prepare himself in order to beat the competition.Stefan also gained 10 kilos so that he would look more like a Santa. But that was not all. “In order to be able to function with the extra weight, I trained very seriously; running, lifting weights, etc.”Veroude is now preparing himself for a couple of busy months ahead. On top of his normal task of distributing presents to children worldwide, ‘Upper Santa’ has been asked to show up everywhere in the world with his reindeer.Source: Omroep Brabant
