EINDHOVEN – On Tuesday, seven members of an international drug gang were arrested –some of them in Eindhoven- after a large-scale search by the Military Police, the FIOD (financial investigation) and the customs.
The group would smuggle cocaine from the Caribbean to the Netherlands via Schiphol. Eleven people have been taken into custody as yet.Arrests also took place in Diemen, Amsterdam and Dordrecht. The discovery that the gang was preparing a number of liquidations and were carrying firearms shows they are serious criminals.The arrestees are suspected of money laundering, illegal weapon possession, drug trafficking and involvement in a criminal organization.
