Smoldering barrels found in Leenderbos

Tuesday, 18 September 2012
EINDHOVEN – A forester sounded the alarm on Tuesday when he found some smoldering barrels in the Leenderbos woods. Initially it was thought that the barrels contained xtc waste.  Police thought that this was an unlikely scenario. Investigations show that there are no chemical products in the barrels.

The forester found 20 black jerry cans  and 5 cardboard barrels on the side of a public path in the woods. At least one of the barrels started to leak because there had been an attempt to set the waste on fire. Source: Eindhoven Dichtbij
