EINDHOVEN – On Tuesday at the ‘Bijenkorf’ on 18 Septemberplein a fire raged around noon time. Atop the department store there was a plume of smoke.
The square was cordoned off and the department store was evacuated. Shortly before 1 p.m. the fire department confirmed that the fire was extinguished.The fire occurred on the 4th floor, during maintenance in the technical area. Just in case the fire department dispatched four fire trucks.In total there were certainly 50 employees from the police, fire department and the ambulance service on location. No one was injured.
