Three lion brothers move to Dierenrijk Nuenen

NUENEN – This coming Friday Dierenrijk in Nuenen welcomes three new residents. The three lions Rob, Henk and Mike from Burgers’ Zoo in Arnhem will be moved to Dierenrijk. The lions are brothers which were born on July 7th last year in Arnhem. They will be transported on Friday in metal containers on a trailer behind a large bus.

According to Kris Jansen, head of animal care at Dierenrijk, the move will be an exciting experience: “A move is for all animals exciting, even for a mighty lion. That is why the lions directly after their arrival in Dierenrijk, will be placed in a secluded enclosure so that they can settle down.”With the arrival of the lions the Nuenen zoo is another animal species richer. On Thursday June 28th the new lion residence will be opened and Rob, Henk and Mike will be presented to the public.Source: Eindhoven Dichtbij
